- 500 g of any minced ground meat.
- cup oatmeal
- One tbs unsalted butter
- One egg, beaten lightly
- cup bread crumbs
- One carrot, peeled and broken into pieces
- ⅓ cup tomato puree
- One tbs freshly chopped thyme leaves
- One finely chopped garlic clove
- a teaspoon of kosher salt
- One tbs pepper
- One tbs mustard
Preheat the oven to 350 degree
Take the chopped onions and garlic in a skillet and cook it with butter till the onion is tender enough. Season it with pepper and salt
In a medium size mixing bowl, properly mix the ingredients like oatmeal, thyme leaves, cooked onion and garlic, egg, carrot, and pepper.
Take the ground meat and mix it with breadcrumbs. Season it with kosher salt. Combine the above mixture with the mixture you made in step 3 and mix it till the meat absorb all the flavors completely.
Take a 10-inch loaf pan and place on it a baking sheet. Put the meat in the pan and press it evenly.
For the glaze, mix all the ingredients I.e the sauce, cumin and honey and catsup.
Now, bake the meat in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes at 400 degrees.
After 40 minutes, brush the glaze on the baked meatloaf and bake it for another ten minutes.
